Meet the founder

DeNesha Tellis has enjoyed a long and accomplished career in corporate communications where she specializes in executive and change management communications. Her work supports organizational leaders who want to empower and engage people, align team members on shared goals, and develop high-performance work cultures. 


DeNesha has a strong, diverse communications background that includes working as a journalist and serving in leading communications roles at the global professional services firm Deloitte and the Children’s Hospital Colorado system. She has developed internal communications strategies for organizations in the healthcare, technology, education, financial services, and human services industries. 


Her skillset as a communicator is firmly rooted in her formal training as a journalist, and she had the privilege of interviewing some of the world’s most influential leaders such as legendary civil rights activist Rosa Parks and acclaimed poet and author Maya Angelou. 


Since founding The Tellis Group, DeNesha has provided her communications expertise to leaders at some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Allstate, Amazon, The Home Depot, Johnson & Johnson, and Microsoft.


She is a graduate of Dillard University and the University of Missouri-Columbia, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the mother of two wonderful children.
